    A Proclamation

    WHEREAS: Pease International Airport is a prospering business and aviation industrial community serving the seacoast region; and

    WHEREAS: Pease International Airport offers a Foreign Trade Zone with access to the east international trade corridors by land, direct air cargo or by sea via the Port of New Hampshire; and

    WHEREAS: Portsmouth International Airport is ideally suited for any import or export business and is customs ready with commercial and passenger International flights, cargo services and business charter flights; and

    WHEREAS: Portsmouth International Airport Terminal Building has a full Federal Inspection SErvices facility with on-site U.S. Customs & Border Protection staff and an airfield with an 11,321-foot runway, making it ready to handle any aircraft in the world, regardless of size, that is departing or arriving from any location; and

    WHEREAS: For 15years the Pease Air National Guard and the 157th Air Refueling Wing have successfully served the nation and the region.

    Now, therefore, I Robert J. Lister, Mayor of the City of Portsmouth, do hereby join with the members of the City Council in proclaiming, March 2014, as

    GENERAL AVIATION APPRECIATION MONTH
