    Official Statement

    On behalf of the State of Connecticut I, Dannel P. Malloy, Governor, take great pleasure in recognizing September 2012 as

    Aviation Appreciation Month

    This month is an opportunity for aircraft owners,pilots, aviation enthusiasts and others to share an appreciation for the freedom of flight, the camaraderie of the aviation community, as well as the past and future of aviation in Connecticut.Aviation is extremely importnat in the State of Connecticut,as we have 11 state and municipal airports serving millions of people annually. This includes Bradley International Airport, the 2nd largest airport in New England and home to the New England Air Museum.  Aviation is inextricably linked to economic development in the State of Connecticut and we suppor the many workers employed herein the aviation industry. We celebrate aviation and the many ways in which in enriches our lives.

    Therefore, I, Dannel P. Malloy, Governor of the State of Connecticut, do hereby proclaim September 2012 as

    Aviation Appreciation Month 

    in the State of Connecticut.
