The Alliance for Aviation Across American Commends Missouri Governor Nixon for Declaring April ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today applauded Governor Jay Nixon for declaring April 2016 “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Missouri, general aviation airports support an economic impact of over $857 million.

“General aviation is a vital resource and an economic driver for businesses and communities across Missouri, particularly rural communities,” stated Selena Shilad, Executive Director of Alliance for Aviation Across America. “General aviation keeps Missouri communities connected and supports law enforcement, firefighting, businesses, and health and emergency services. We look forward to continuing to work with the Governor on this and other important issues related to aviation and local airports.”
