National Aviation Organization Commends Alabama Governor for Declaring October “General Aviation Appreciation Month”

Washington, DC—The Alliance for Aviation Across America applauded Governor Robert Bentley for declaring October 2015 “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” His proclamation highlights the important role of general aviation in Alabama, where the industry contributes $800 million in first round economic impacts annually.

“We thank the Governor for this proclamation, which highlights the vital importance of general aviation to the state of Alabama,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “General aviation supports communities and businesses, as well as emergency medical care, law enforcement, forestry, and many other critical services.”
