    The Alliance Commends Terre Haute Mayor Bennett for Declaring July ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Duke Bennett, of Terre Haute, Indiana for proclaiming July “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Indiana, the total annual economic impact of airports is more than $14.1 billion, and general aviation airports contribute $5.9 billion to the state’s economy annually.

    “Mayor Bennett’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Terre Haute and the state of Indiana,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Terre Haute for recognizing this vital industry.”
