The Alliance Commends New Smyrna Beach Mayor Hathaway for Declaring April ‘Aviation Appreciation Month in Florida’
Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor James Hathaway of New Smyrna Beach, Florida for proclaiming April “Aviation Appreciation Month in Florida.” In Florida, general aviation airports contribute more than $7.7 billion to the state’s economy.
“Mayor Hathaway’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to New Smyrna Beach and the state of Florida,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of New Smyrna Beach for recognizing this vital industry.”
