    The Alliance Commends Ruston Mayor Walker for Declaring March ‘General Appreciation Aviation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Ronny Walker of Ruston, Louisiana for proclaiming March “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Louisiana, general aviation contributes over $2 billion to the state’s GDP annually.

    “Mayor Walker’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Ruston and the state of Louisiana,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Ruston for recognizing this vital industry.”
