    The Alliance Commends Oklahoma Governor for Declaring March ‘Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC— The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin for declaring March “Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Oklahoma, the total economic output of general aviation is over $2.5 billion.

    “We would like to thank Governor Fallin for highlighting the immense benefits of general aviation and community airports all across the state of Oklahoma,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “General aviation is a vital resource for communities and businesses and supports disaster relief, firefighting and health care and fire-fighting, among many other critical services.  We look forward to working with Governor Fallin on this and other issues important to general aviation and local airports.”
