    The Alliance Commends Lawton Mayor Fitch for Declaring March ‘General Appreciation Aviation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Fred Fitch of Lawton, Oklahoma for proclaiming March “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Oklahoma, general aviation is responsible for a total economic output of more than $2.5 billion.

    “Mayor Fitch’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Lawton and the state of Oklahoma,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Lawton for recognizing this vital industry.”
