The Alliance Commends Louisiana Governor for Declaring March ‘Aviation Appreciation Month’

Washington, DC— The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal for declaring March “Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Louisiana, general aviation contributes more than $2 billion to Louisiana’s GDP each year.

“We would like to thank Governor Jindal for recognizing the benefits of general aviation and local airports across the state of Louisiana,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “General aviation helps businesses and farms to reach different markets, transport supplies, increase efficiency and survey land, while also supporting valuable health care and emergency care services.”
