    The Alliance Commends Bay Saint Louis Mayor Fillingame for Declaring January ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Les Fillingame of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi for proclaiming January “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Mississippi, general aviation contributes $488 million to the state’s economy.

    “Mayor Fillingame’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Bay Saint Louis and the state of Mississippi,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Bay Saint Louis for recognizing this vital industry.”
