    The Alliance Commends Starkville Mayor Wiseman for Declaring January ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Parker Wiseman of Starkville, Mississippi for proclaiming January “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Mississippi, general aviation contributes $488 million to the state’s economy.

    “Mayor Wiseman’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Starkville and the state of Mississippi,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Starkville for recognizing this vital industry.”
