The Alliance Commends Parkersburg Mayor Newell for Declaring October ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’
Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Bob Newell of Parkersburg, West Virginia for proclaiming October “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In West Virginia, general aviation contributes $616 million annually to the state’s economy.
“Mayor Newell’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Parkersburg and the state of West Virginia,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Parkersburg for recognizing this vital industry.”
