The Alliance Commends Huntington Mayor Williams for Declaring October ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’
Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Steve Williams of Huntington, West Virginia for proclaiming October “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In West Virginia, general aviation contributes $616 million to the state’s economy annually.
“Mayor Williams’ proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Huntington and the state of West Virginia,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Huntington for recognizing this vital industry.”
