    The Alliance Commends Frederick Mayor McClement for Declaring September ‘General Aviation and Community Airport Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Randy McClement of Frederick, Maryland for proclaiming September “General Aviation and Community Airport Month.” In Maryland, general aviation contributes over $550 million annually to the state’s economy.

    “Mayor McClement’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Frederick and the state of Maryland,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city of Frederick for recognizing this vital industry.”
