    The Alliance Commends Hopkinsville Mayor Kemp for Declaring July ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor J. Daniel Kemp of Hopkinsville, Kentucky for proclaiming July 2014 “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Kentucky, general aviation contributes over $1.7 billion annually to the state’s economy.

    “Mayor Kemp’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to Hopkinsville and the state of Kentucky,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the city for recognizing this vital industry.”
