    The Alliance Commends Pocatello Mayor Blad for Declaring June ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Brian Blad of Pocatello, Idaho for proclaiming June 2014 “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Idaho, general aviation contributes over $426 million annually to the state’s economy, and supports over 4,000 jobs statewide.

    “Mayor Blad’s proclamation serves to educate the public about the economic benefits and valuable services that general aviation provides to Pocatello and the state of Idaho,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Blad and the city of Pocatello for recognizing this important industry.”
