    The Alliance Commends St. Augustine Mayor Boles for Declaring May ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commend Mayor Joseph L. Boles Jr. of St. Augustine, Florida, for proclaiming May “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Florida, general aviation supports 54,000 jobs with an annual payroll of $1.8 billion.

    “Mayor Boles’s proclamation is extremely helpful in educating the public about the economic benefits and essential services general aviation provides to St. Augustine and the state of Florida,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Boles and the city of St. Augustine for their recognition of this important industry.”
