    The Alliance Commends Columbia Mayor McDavid for Declaring April ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Robert McDavid of Columbia, Missouri, for proclaiming April “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Missouri, general aviation contributes $857 million annually to the state’s economy, as well as over 7,400 jobs statewide.

    “Mayor McDavid’s proclamation is important in educating the public about the essential services and economic benefit that general aviation provides to the state of Missouri,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor David and the city of Jefferson City for their recognition of the value of general aviation and look forward to working with them in the future.”
