    The Alliance Commends Gainesville Mayor Haynie for Declaring April ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commend Mayor Susan Haynie, of Boca Raton, Florida, for proclaiming April “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Florida, general aviation supports 54,000 jobs with an annual payroll of $1.8 billion.

    “Mayor Haynie’s proclamation is extremely helpful in educating the public about the economic benefits and essential services general aviation provides to Boca Raton and the state of Florida,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Haynie and the city of Boca Raton for their recognition of this important industry.”
