    The Alliance Commends Gainesville Mayor Barringer for Declaring April ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commend Mayor Adam Barringer of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, for proclaiming April “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Florida, general aviation supports 54,000 jobs with an annual payroll of $1.8 billion.

    “Mayor Barringer’s proclamation is extremely helpful in educating the public about the essential services and economic benefits general aviation provides to New Smyrna Beach and the state of Florida,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Barringer and the city of New Smyrna Beach for their recognition of this important industry.”
