    The Alliance Commends Gainesville Mayor Braddy for Declaring March ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commend Mayor Edward B. Braddy of Gainesville, Florida, for proclaiming March “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Florida, general aviation supports 54,000 jobs with an annual payroll of $1.8 billion.

    “Mayor Braddy’s proclamation is extremely helpful in educating the public about the economic benefits and essential services general aviation provides to Gainesville and the state of Florida,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Braddy and the city of Gainesville for their recognition of this vital industry.”
