    The Alliance Commends Pendleton Mayor Phillip W. Houk for Declaring February ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Phillip W. Houk, of Pendleton, Oregon, for proclaiming March “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Oregon, general aviation has an annual economic impact of $1.8 billion.

    “Mayor Houk’s proclamation helps to educate the public about the economic and other benefits general aviation provides to the state of Oregon,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Houk and the city of Pendleton for their recognition of this important industry.”
