    The Alliance Commends Pendleton Mayor Phillip W. Houk for Declaring February ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Phillip W. Houk of Pendleton, Oregon for proclaiming February “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Oregon, general aviation has an annual economic impact of $1.8 billion.

    “Mayor Houk’s proclamation highlights the economic and other benefits that general aviation provides to the city of Pendleton and the state of Oregon,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We thank Mayor Houk for helping to educate the public about this important industry.”
