    The Alliance Commends Meadville Mayor John Christopher Soff for Recognizing General Aviation

    Washington, DC – The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor John Christopher Soff of Meadville, Pennsylvania, for his proclamation recognizing the value of general aviation. In Pennsylvania, general aviation has an annual economic impact of over $1.3 billion. In Meadville, the Port Meadville Airport supports almost 70 jobs and has an economic impact of over $12 million.

    “Mayor Soff’s proclamation helps to educate the public about the economic and other benefits general aviation provides to the state of Pennsylvania,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank Mayor Soff and the city of Meadville for their recognition of this important industry.”
