    The Alliance Commends Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover for Declaring February ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

    Washington, DC — The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Cedric B. Glover of Shreveport, Louisiana for proclaiming February “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Louisiana, general aviation contributes more than $2 billion annually to the state’s economy.

    “This proclamation helps to educate the public about the immense benefit general aviation brings to local communities, Louisiana, and the nation. General aviation provides vital services to Louisiana such as emergency medical transportation, law enforcement, and firefighting,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We extend our sincere thanks to Mayor Glover and look forward to working with him again in the future.
