  • It didn’t take long  – less than 2 years to be exact – but New Albany Union County Airport is now the home of a new and modern terminal.

Local leaders held a ribbon-cutting on Thursday to formally open the 3,000 square-foot building.

The building was 100 percent funded ($700,000) by FAA grants, M-DOT, plus  city and county funds.

” It’s a huge impacted to our city and county it’s one of the check marks we have to have to be for a great business community and attract business people can fly in here they can host meetings here. ” said Sam Creekmore.

The new terminal will serve not only local pilots and their aircraft, but also to assist with transportation for many of the local businesses and industries in Union County.
