  • Pangborn Memorial Airport is holding their annual Aviation Day Saturday featuring displays, the Miss Veedol, kids activities and the B-25 Bomber known as Grumpy. Airport Director Trent Moyers says it’s a chance to educate the public about opportunities at the airport.

“From the general aviation up through the commercial airline industry as well, there’s just a lot of things that happen out here and so we’re showcasing that on Aviation Day.”

    The event runs from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.

Moyers says there will be private planes, Fed Ex cargo planes and some emergency service aircraft, but the stars are obvious.

“Anytime we have those types of historical aircraft that you just don’t see anymore; those are always crowd favorites.”

The event is mostly free, though there is a cost to take a flight in the B-25 or in a helicopter
