Hale County, Texas – The Hale County Airport provides $13 million and 74 jobs to the economy, according to a new study by TxDOT.
Governor Abbott’s proclaimed November Aviation Appreciation Month and Airport Manager Stacie Hardage said Hale County appreciates its gateway to the community.
“We have businesses that might be looking to bring their business to Plainview,” she said. “And a lot of times the first question that they’ll ask is ‘what kind of facilities does the airport have?’ It’s important, you know, for the corporate offices to be able to come to Plainview just for a day trip and then be able to go back home.”
Hardage said the airport also provides maintenance to airplanes from across the country, bringing in more business to West Texas.
