Governor Greg Abbott has declared November 2018 as “Aviation Appreciation Month.” According to the proclamation, “Today there are more than 300 airports and over 25,000 aircraft registered in the Lone Star State. With more than 153,000 in the Texas aviation and aerospace industry, Texas is the number one state for air transportation employment and resulting in billions in economic activity. The long history the aviation industry in our state and its economic success today continue Texas on its path as a leader for our nation.”
