  • ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) — Six dogs are on their way to finding a forever home after being rescued from South Korea.

Officials from the Angels of Assisi met the animals at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport on Friday.

The animals were previously being held at a South Korean meat farm, only to inevitably be used as food.

The dogs were flown in from Canada by Wings of Rescue after being rescued by Humane Society International, according to the Angels of Assisi.
