  • A group of private pilots is looking for help with their humanitarian mission in Texas.

“Operation Airdrop (OAD) is an all-volunteer group of General Aviation pilots,” according to the organizations website. “In the few days since it was created, the group has grown to 150+ pilots and planes from across the nation.”

Organizers say they deliver relief supplies to harder to reach areas along the Texas Gulf Coast hit hard by Hurricane Harvey.

They are looking for pilots in the New Orleans area.  Members of the effort say they have donated supplies ready to fly out of Lakefront airport, but not enough pilots and planes.
