Several Officials Declare October ‘General Aviation Appreciation Month’

  • West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin has declared October 2016 “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In West Virginia, general aviation contributes over $1 billion to the state’s total economic output annually.

    According to the proclamation: “The use of general aviation by businesses and farms in West Virginia is directly tied to the future growth and prosperity of the State.”

    In related news, Mayor Catherine Goings of Clarksburg, West Virginia, also proclaimed October “General Aviation Appreciation Month.”

    Additionally, Mayor Richard Berry of Albuquerque, New Mexico, also proclaimed October “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In New Mexico, general aviation contributes over $1.1 billion to the state’s total economic output.
