6 Oklahoma Airports to Receive Aeronautics Commission Grants

  • The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission has approved $1.5 million in grants for projects at six airports in the state.

    Claremore Regional Airport will receive $634,000 to build a taxi lane for hangar development and a parking area for heavy aircraft, Halliburton Field at Duncan will receive $351,000 to renovate its runway and parallel taxiway system and David Jay Perry Airport at Goldsby will get $210,000 to help build a new terminal building. The Town of Goldsby must provide 50 percent in local matching funds for the project.

    The Elk City Regional Business Airport will receive $175,000 for an aircraft parking area and Shawnee Regional Airport will get $144,000 to stabilize the aircraft parking area. Clinton Regional Airport will receive $21,000 to seal cracks that have developed on the main parking apron.
