The 21st annual ‘Fly For Tots’ Christmas fund raiser held at the Thomaston-Upson County Airport last Saturday was another success, raising $1,550 in donations and collecting 187 toys for the Empty Stocking Fund. Sponsored by the airport and the West Central Georgia Flying Club, the fund raiser offers flights around Thomaston and Upson County in exchange for toys and donations. The pilots donate the use of their time, their planes, and fuel to the event. This year eight pilots flew 66 flights during the fund raiser, taking up some guests for their first plane rides, and others who return every year.
