  • Three years of work at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport terminal are complete.

The last stage of renovations– remodeling and rebranding the airports restaurants– was celebrated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday morning.

McAlister’s Deli now has restaurants on both sides of the screening area.

The renovations began with new paint schemes and finishings. The second phase has included a complete renovation of the news and gift shop and the arrival of McAlister’s in refurbished spaces.

More than 600,000 travelers pass through the airport every year.
