  • U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that the Greenbrier County Airport Authority has received a grant of more than $2.5 million from the U.S. Transportation Department for improvements to the Greenbrier Valley Airport.

The $2,546,117 grant will be used to build a taxiway and rehabilitate the apron.

“This money represents a critical investment in our community, our transportation system, and the Greenbrier Valley Airport. These funds will help the airport improve its runway and infrastructure, which will make the airport more efficient. Our transportation infrastructure is the key to growing jobs and attracting tourism to our region, and I am working every day to secure the funding needed to improve our economy and enhance our quality of life,” Rep. Jenkins said.
