  • A San Bernardino woman was hoisted into a helicopter Monday, Aug. 31, after falling 20 feet at Big Falls in Forest Falls.

Vanessa Lee, 28, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the fall, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release.

San Bernardino County Fire Department ground crews responded to the scene, and were able to stabilize Lee. The Sheriff’s Department’s air rescue team also responded.

When the air rescue helicopter arrived, the news release said, a medic was lowered about 130 feet to assess Lee. Lee and the medic were then hoisted up into the helicopter, which transported them to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton.
