  • More aircraft used Alliance Airport in 2014, officials at the Fort Worth industrial airport said.

The airport had an 11.5 percent increase in the number of aircraft using the airport with 115,514 planes passing through Alliance last year. Most of the growth came from general aviation planes taking off and landing at Alliance.

“We saw healthy increases across a variety of categories, specifically the number of aircraft passing through the airport, which speaks to the added value we can provide at this facility,” said Tom Harris, president of Alliance Air/Aviation Services at Hillwood.

The airport said it also increased cargo operations by 1 percent to 110,328 tons enplaned and deplaned in 2014. FedEx and UPS both have logistics facilities at Alliance.
