  • Faafua Cummings doesn’t keep up with football, so she initially had no idea the friendly pilot for her flight to Miami last month was one of the NFL’s biggest stars.

It didn’t take her long to find out.

“I had never heard of him before,” Cummings told the Northwest Florida Daily News. “But when I posted a photo on my Facebook page, everyone went crazy!”

Graham, recently traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Seattle Seahawks, volunteered to be a pilot for the Angel Flight Soars program, which offers patients free transportation for medical treatment not available locally. Cummings was getting treatment in Miami for severe burns.

Graham has supported the charity financially. An avid pilot, he also agreed to help with flights.

“He was so nice during the flight,” Cummings said. “He gave us a tour of his plane, and explained how everything worked. He was just very down to earth.”
