  • Fly Arkansas will open a new FBO at Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport (KLIT), formerly Adams Field, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Fly Arkansas will assume control of a portion of the former Hawker/Beechcraft complex on the airport around May 1. Renovations will start soon after Fly Arkansas obtains control of the buildings, FBO officials noted, with operations starting by Aug. 1.

The company plans to invest more than $600,000 into the operation over the next three years, company officials added.

Fly Arkansas will lease approximately 56,000 square feet of currently vacant office and hangar space and anticipates to lease almost 150,000 square feet of ramp, parking, and ground space. It also plans to install a new 50,000-gallon capacity aviation fuel farm facility.

Fly Arkansas will provide air charter, aircraft management, aircraft sales/brokerage, flight training, light aircraft maintenance, and aviation fuel and oil sales at the new location.

Owned by Taylor Scott, Fly Arkansas is the largest employer at the Baxter County Airport (KBPK) and also operates a location at the Boone County Airport (KHRO) in Harrison, Arkanasa.
