  • Fort Wayne, IN, March 2, 2015— Flight training academy Sweet Aviation announces significant growth in its helicopter training and service division in 2014.

Previously a fixed-wing training and service facility, Sweet Aviation purchased an Enstrom F28F for both helicopter training and rental services in 2013, then became an Enstrom helicopter service center with an Enstrom factory trained and highly experienced staff. Sweet Aviation is also an Enstrom dealer, one of only a few in the U.S.

General Manager Joel Pierce said, “Whether you’re already a helicopter pilot looking for a helicopter to rent, a fixed wing pilot looking to earn your rotor-wing certificate, or you’re brand new to aviation and looking to learn to fly a helicopter – we’ve got you covered with our Enstrom F28F. It’s well equipped with plenty of power, superior avionics, and a full instrument panel, including Garmin GPS.”

2014 was Sweet Aviation’s first full year of having the Enstrom helicopter in service, and, due to its popularity, the company is adding more instructors and support staff.

Pierce added, “We expect our helicopter training and rental customer base to double over the coming year. And, in addition to our Enstrom-related services, Sweet Aviation assists customers with whatever model they may be flying. This includes training. If a customer is providing their own helicopter, our instructors are qualified to provide them with instructional services in that aircraft as well.”

In addition to serving Indiana, Sweet Aviation has customers traveling from throughout the Midwest Smith Field in Fort Wayne, to fly the Enstrom F28F.
Pierce concluded, “Sweet Aviation’s goal is to offer our customers the ability to achieve their life-long aviation dreams.
