State Police used a helicopter on Friday evening to locate a missing snowmobiler in Rutland State Park, but declined to say whether the snowmobiler was found dead or alive. The snowmobiler, whose name was withheld, had been reported missing around 4:30 p.m., State Police said in a statement. A trooper deployed from the helicopter to the ground, State Police said. The office of Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr. is investigating, State Police said. A spokesman for Early could not be immediately reached on Friday night.
