  • MURRAY COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -Two organizations, Animal Aid USA and Pilots N Paws are teaming up to airlift homeless pets to their new homes Friday.

The Murray County Humane Society is transporting more than 50 dogs and puppies to the Greenville, SC airport, where they will go to different cities across the United States.

Once the animals collectively arrive in South Carolina, they will be loaded onto planes to bring them to their awaiting, adoptive homes.

Pilots participating in the rescue donate both their time and planes for the pet re-location project.

Some have forever homes already lined up, others will go to shelters that have a greater audience for the dogs to be adopted.
