  • The month of august has been declared “General Aviation Appreciation Month” by Governor Bullock.

Helena Regional Airport Director Jeff Wadecamper says general aviation is noncommercial, nonmilitary aviation which includes more privately owned aircrafts and businesses.

General aviation in Montana is a 117 million dollar industry, and positively influences other local businesses.

“It’s a really vital industry. It’s a vital component of the entire aviation system. A lot of your military pilots, commercial airlines pilots, started out in general aviation.”

Wadecamper hopes that this month will bring awareness to the importance of the industry across the state.

Tune in at ten to learn how a proposed federal tax could negatively impact the aviation industry in Montana, and across the nation.
