  • TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Most of the visible attention given to Stewart Airport is to its commercial passenger service and cargo operations, but its general aviation, including corporate, is another strong component of the operations at the Newburgh area airport.

Airport General Manager Edmond Harrison said general aviation is doing well with growth plans under discussion.

“American Express has their corporate fleet at Stewart International Airport; General Electric has their corporate fleet at Stewart International Airport; we have Atlantic Aviation, which we refer to as a fixed base operator, is thriving here,” Harrison said.

Atlantic Aviation has even discussed possible expansion plans.

Also at Stewart is the regional Cessna Citation jet maintenance facility.
