  • A couple hundred abandoned pets, scheduled to be euthanized, will soon be on their way to rescue organizations.

The animals will leave the Decatur County Industrial Airport in Bainbridge on Saturday around 11 a.m.

Twenty volunteer pilots with the Pilots N Paws, a non-profit organization, will fly the animals in their planes with their own fuel to West Palm Beach, Clearwater, Tampa, Port Orange, Fort Meyers, Stuart, and Orlando.

The goal is to find the animals forever homes.
