  • The Branson Board of Aldermen on Tuesday approved second and final reading of a budget amendment allocating 261-thousand 794-dollars ($261,794) to Branson Airport.

The money comes from the city’s Tourism Fund and honors the city’s Pay for Performance contract with the airport between January 1st and June 30th, 2013.

Since July of 2010, the city has paid the airport for all billings to date, totaling more than 1-point-67 million dollars. Most of the payments have come from the city’s General Fund.

This year’s payment from the Tourism Fund leaves a 21-percent reserve balance in the General Fund, according to city documents.
