COTULLA — The city of Cotulla continues to see the economic impact of the Eagle Ford Shale with an expansion of the local airport.
The Cotulla-LaSalle County Airport began its almost $8 million project Wednesday which includes a 6,000-foot runway, 6,000-foot parallel taxiway, and double the amount of parking spaces.
The project began once the Eagle Ford Shale helped with the funding and is expected to be complete in May 2014.
