  • Helicopter Association International (HAI) is pleased to report the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee has released a Fiscal Year 2014 Department of Transportation spending bill which includes legislative language that specifically precludes “the availability of funds for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to finalize or implement any regulation that would promulgate new aviation user fees not specifically authorized by law.” The helicopter industry and our general aviation partners are strongly opposed to any implementation of user fees, believing that our industry appropriately pays our fair share in the form of fuel taxes.
